Sergei Dedikov

 

Sergei Dedikov graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1972.

 

From 1969 to 1972 Mr Dedikov practiced in the office of the Prosecutor General of the USSR. In 1974 he was elected and served for many years as a Judge. He was also involved in politics: his last position was assistant Head of the State-Legal Department of the CPSU. In 1990 Mr Dedikov started working in the Scientific and Industrial Union (now Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs) as a Counsel and subsequently as a Deputy Director General. In 1992 Mr Dedikov became the head of a Charity Foundation under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Culture. Since 1993 he became a Counsel, and later a Deputy Director General of ASKO-Holding, a Russian insurance company.

 

Between 1995 and 2003 Mr Dedikov was a member of the Inter-Republic Board of Advocates. In addition, between 1996 and 2014 he worked for the Moscow Reinsurance Company, initially as a Vice-President, a First Deputy Director General, and then as a Counsel. At the same time he was a member of the Committee of the All-Russian Insurance & Reinsurance Association. Between 2005 and 2012 Mr Dedikov served as the Editor-in-Chief of the “The Journal of Legal and Law Work in Insurance” Journal, as well as a member of the Experts’ Board of the Russian Federal Insurance Supervisory Authority and Russian Federal Financial Markets Service.

 

Mr Dedikov is the author and co-author of 12 books and over 700 articles on insurance law, interviews and other publications concerning financial markets. He took part as a member of writing staff in writing books in financial and commercial law, advocacy and management.

 

Mr Dedikov is also the Senior Partner of the Russian Insurance Lawyers Society, as well as a Lecturer in Insurance at the Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation.
